Lemon Bars

This is another recipe passed on to me from my Aunt.
Very easy to make and a great desert to bring
to any Holiday gathering. These are best served
chilled and are stored in the refrigerator.



 

Crust

1 cup butter or margarine (softened)
1/2 cup powered sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour

Combine all ingredients & mix well
Press into a greased 13x9 baking pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.


Filling

4 egg's beaten
8 tablespoons Lemon Juice
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup flour
Mix well together, should end up with a dry crumb style mixture.

Combine all ingredients & mix well, Pour into slightly cooled crust.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes
Cool thoroughly, cover & refrigerate.
Cut into bars & sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
